Using Singify responsibly
Singify records your own singing and polishes it. Backing tracks come from YouTube and belong to their owners. This page explains what that means for what you make and share — read it before you save or send a recording.
Your performance
The recording is your voice, your performance — recording yourself singing along to a track is generally fine, the same way singing at a karaoke bar is. You own your vocal take.
Backing tracks
The instrumental/backing belongs to its rights-holders. Singify plays it from YouTube for practice; it does not license it to you for redistribution. When you share a recording that includes a backing track, that's for personal, non-commercial use (friends and family) — not for sale, advertising, or public commercial release.
What you confirm
- You're recording your own performance.
- You won't use Singify recordings commercially or claim ownership of the backing.
- You won't upload recordings of other people without their consent.
- You'll respect the rights of the original artists and rights-holders.
Takedowns
If you're a rights-holder and believe a shared recording infringes your rights, contact us and we'll remove it promptly. Shared links expire after 7 days by default.
